Metal artist Gail Hyde is mostly self taught.  She has been welding for the past three years.  Her interest in creating metal sculptures was awakened by attending numerous art shows and festivals over the years where metal art was displayed.  She started welding by attending night classes at the nearest technical vocational school.  Armed with this newfound skill, she now has a studio where the concept for METALSOME was created. It has been her long time passion to create art through the medium of metal.
